My First DT Project for SVG Attic!!

A few weeks ago Jessica Bashaw, of Jessica's Crop Corner, asked me to be on her Design Team for her new store SVG Attic, which sells SVG files to use with your personal die-cutting machines. I couldn't believe she wanted me!! I mean, yeah I applied for a spot on the DT, but did I really think I was gonna be picked? No! Totally blew my mind! Go check out her stuff, browse around the store, and if you don't use SVGs or own a cutting machine then at the very least just go check out the bio page that has my picture on it!!! HERE

Well I've been so excited to share what I made with her super cute Backyard BBQ set and Cupcake stand and wrapper from the Bridal Shower set. Hope you enjoy!

I totally missed out on the 4th of July, it came and went and I didn't even get a chance to decorate or do any cute festivities! But I figured, summer isn't over yet, so I still have a chance to put up some cute decorations! Since we love having people over, and grilling is my husband's specialty :-) I made some fun barbecue decor!

I made the cupcake stand and wrapper to look like a little grill, then put some adorable "grill" cupcakes in them! I cut a half-circle out of the base of the stand in MTC, and omitted the stand's top sides and just hot glued the circle into the cupcake wrapper. I also had to hand cut the decorative edge off the cupcake wrapper. My incredibly talented friend made the awesome cupcakes for me! They were Perfect!

I also made a fun candy dish the same way, but larger, and added a lid to it so I could use the cool little shishkabobs in the set! I created the grill's grate in MTC with their fun lattice feature, and layered 6 of them on top of each other for more dimension.

I loved playing with these barbecue files! I don't think I'm quite done with them yet, I've got a few more ideas up my sleeve :-) lol!

There's the inside of the candy dish!!

Cookie Gifts

Seems like when you don't have any money, the best gifts to give are edible treats! People still know that you care and that you took the time for them, and they remember how amazing your treats tasted!

Well, a bunch of events just happened and I just didn't have the funds to splurge for gifts. It was Mother's Day, and my friends birthday (on mother's day), and my sister graduated from High School, and of course Teacher Appreciation week, plus a baby shower I offered to help with. I decided to make them all some yummy decorated sugar cookies! These literally take 6-8 hours of active working time if you make this big of a batch, with this many colors of icing, and so so many tiny shapes!! I hope they all know how much I care about them, even if I couldn't get them some amazing gifts that they so deserve.

Since my last post was about Teacher Appreciation week, I'll start with these.
But I should be honest.... these didn't actually make it to the teachers. We kinda ate them instead. I had every intention of making some new ones to give them, until my family got sick and I don't feel right about giving away our sick germs along with some cookies.

And now, in true Anna Dawn fashion, I'll bombard you with a million unnecessary pictures! Enjoy!

These little lambs were for the baby shower. I made 58 of them!! I forgot to take pictures of them displayed all cute at the shower, and I also decorated some with little dots that was probably the cutest design of them all but didn't take pictures of that either... oh well.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love comments so don't be shy!! Plus when you leave some love, I visit you and return the comment love! Same with followers! I've been getting a lot of new ones lately and it's GREAT!  Love you all!

Easter Carrot Party

This party was pretty much canceled, so I wasn't going to make any decorations for it. Then, the night before, (it's always last minute with me, right!) I decided I wasn't gonna let the fact that I had no funds deter me!!

So I stayed up ALL night, which I've been know to do quite often when I'm pressed for time.... and created this

EASTER CARROT PARTY!

I arranged the tablecloths like this to resemble the colors of a carrot...
sometimes I do weird details like this that aren't obvious to everyone...

I just found some Easter Coloring Pages online and printed them out for people to color as they arrived.

This 3D Paper Chocolate Bunny was SOOOOO cute!
I used him as the table centerpiece with these little carrot containers.

He's a printable from Lettering Delights here:

Um, yeah... I made carrot cups.
Cuz I'm crazy like that! Or so everyone keeps telling me...

Oh my, our Easter Brunch was so adorable!

These little bunny pancakes were floating all over the web,
so I had to try them myself!
The tutorial is here:

Of course Bunny Pancakes have to have Carrots to go with them!

You have to make the outlines first,
then fill them in with the pancake batter.
They are ready to flip when the bubbles start to pop.

Plastic Easter Egg Carrots
I just threaded some green yarn through the holes on the top! Easy!

I made an Easter Scavenger Hunt for the kids.
It had to be SUPER easy, so my clues are kinda lame...
but the kids had such a blast!!
All the clip art on the clues is the same set
from Letting Delights: Easter Beasties,
oops, except the basket, it's from this set.

One of the Easter Presents at the end of the Scavenger Hunt was a pink windsock, which was defective and we couldn't hang. So we made our own!! We used the Printable Eggs from the clip art and stapled crepe paper to them!! Quick and Easy!

This is the last clip art I swear! I absolutely fell in LOVE with this set
and most all sets from Lettering Delights actually!

They are still doing Dollar Days- so you can get some super cute graphics for CHEAP!
That's what I did!!

Thanks for checking out my impromptu, Easter Carrot Party!
It wasn't everything I wanted it to be, but that's what happens when you wait til the last minute!

Come visit me on Facebook! I've got lots of party ideas to share..... :-)
